Introduction to Georgies Pharmacy
Georgies Pharmacy was founded in 1970 by Georgie Lotter at the age of 24. With just R3 000.00 as startup capital Georgie attended every seminar and course she could find to ensure her business succeeded. Her approach to business was to listen to what the customer wanted. Instead of holding too much stock that would cost a lot Georgie began with only holding the absolute necessary stock until there was enough cash flow to grow the business further. Georgie continues to educate herself and stay current with information that keeps her business and personal knowledge relevent. She also encourages this in her staff.
During the pharmacies 50 year history it has become a household name in the East Rand, having served generations of families. In addition to the general pharmacy services, the pharmacy also has a community clinic whereby customers can test their blood pressure, blood sugar and as well colesterol.
With a staff contingment of 4 dedicated employees, Thomas Conradie, Billy Temo, Susan van Wyk and Alina Tsotetsi, the business continues to serve the local community and grow from strength to strength.
